  • "Broadway Concert is a Lesson in Love"

"The Broadway Concert is just the right thing to get anyone feeling romantic.  From the opening numbers, Tonight and I Could Have Danced All Night to near the end with People Will Say We’re In Love … well, we’re in love.

For a Concert strung together from 40-some Broadway tunes, and composers ranging from Cole Porter to Andrew Lloyd Webber, the show holds together because of great rhythm and pacing."

Juanita Westaby  The Grand Rapids Press

  • "Broadway Magic Delights Crowd"

"A slice of Broadway found its way into Abravanel Hall Friday evening.  The Utah Symphony performed a program of favorite show tunes from the past century.

However, this wasn’t just a rundown of popular melodies. There was more to it than that. The program’s creator, Matthew Inge, wove a story line in and out of these songs, tying them together and fusing them into a cohesive whole – and in the process creating an evening of music that was original, innovative and just plain magical."  -Edward Reichel - Deseret News, Salt Lake City

  • "Singers Enthralling with

    Albany Symphony Orchestra"

"Singing in a show and performing show music on a concert stage are two different things, and not all singers are equally adept at both.  These singers are.  They were completely at ease with each other in this concert setting and this is not a “stand and sing” kind of performance.

The show was a nice mix of solos and duets, and the singers worked nicely together in every one, sometimes teasing, sometimes acting coy and sometimes going dreamy-eyed."                 Bill Rice. The Gazette, Albany, NY

A Broadway Romance

A Broadway Romance

- a concert for Soprano and Tenor -

has been delighting audiences throughout North America for the past 15 years.  This is not your standard stand and sing pops concert.  This unique concert was built with the same rhythms as a Broadway Show.  Forty-four favorite Broadway tunes have been arranged to actually tell a story of two people who "meet cute" and fall in love.  The lyrics tell the story, and we don't stop the musical action with unnecessary exposition, which leaves more time for great music.  The audience wants to be entertained with music performed by the orchestra and the singers.  We sing, we perform, we tell a story and we entertain.  The concert is fully staged and choreographed.

Another unique feature of this concert is that all the orchestrations are new, and created for symphony orchestras by some of the top orchestrators in the industry. They are not the thin orchestra charts rented from Broadway shows.

The audience buys tickets to hear their orchestra and we honor that by including several pieces for the orchestra to take the spotlight.  We bring great charts with first chair solos throughout he concert.

The concert showcases songs from West Side Story, The Music Man, 42nd Street, Anything Goes, Show Boat, Guys and Dolls, South Pacific, Man of La Mancha, A Little Night Music and Oklahoma ... with a few surprise gems.
